Special Exhibition on the occasion of the 15th Japan International MANGA Award
For the purpose of expanding Japanese manga culture abroad and promoting international exchange through manga, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan established the Japan International MANGA award in 2007 to honor foreign manga artists. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the award, which has received a total of more than 4,000 entries from more than 120 countries and regions around the world since its establishment.

The submitted works vary in drawing style, design, language, and story. But what these works all have in common is the artists乫 love for manga. They truly enjoy the creation of manga, and people of different ages and positions from all over the world can interact with each other through their works.

乬Manga is about love. Manga is about friendship. Manga is about growing-up. Manga is about everything. It knows absolutely no boundaries. Manga, in a word, is the most universal unifier of the hearts and minds.乭
