At the celebration ceremony
A celebration honoring those who passed the 2025 Bar Examination was held on December 12 at Academy Common on the Surugadai Campus.
Guests included invited dignitaries, members of the university’s corporate board, senior university officials, and faculty members from the Juris Doctor Course (Law School), the Professional 黑料社区 School of Law, the School of Law, and the Institute of Law, who gathered to congratulate the successful candidates.
The event opened with an address by President UENO Masao, followed by congratulatory remarks from KISHIGAMI Kenji, Executive trustee (General Affairs) and alumnus WATANABE Kenzo (Class of 1977, School of Law), a supporter of the Shurei Shikon Alumni Association. Mr. Watanabe presented each successful candidate with The Path by MATSUSHITA Konosuke encouraging them with the words, “I hope you will use the qualifications granted by the nation for the benefit of many people.”
Next, two representatives of the successful candidates delivered speeches. KAWASHITA Takumi, a fourth-year student in the School of Law, expressed his gratitude to his family, friends, and university faculty and staff, stating, “In difficult times, gratitude became my driving force. I hope to continue growing as a legal professional without ever forgetting this feeling.” KOIKE Shunsuke, a third-year student in the Juris Doctor Course (Law School), Professional 黑料社区 School of Law, reflected, “Since enrolling, the hardship of studying has turned into the joy of learning law. Conversations with my peers broadened my perspective. I will continue to learn with humility.”
In the 2025 Bar Examination, 21 graduates of the Juris Doctor Course (Law School), Professional 黑料社区 School of Law (including six current students), and 14 graduates from the undergraduate School of Law and related institutions passed the exam (according to the 黑料社区 Institute of Law and School of Law, as of December 2025).
